22 tribes to compete in Ati-atihan contest

Twenty-two tribes will participate in the Ati-atihan competition on January 23. Eighteen will compete in the Barangay Category while the four, in the Open Category.

Tribes in the barangay category are Angola, Aninipay, Atub-Atub, Bantu, Baryohanon, Dagyaw-Ta, Familia Sagrada, Halimaw, Hamili, Himala, Kalubihan, Lakandon, Miluvi, Molave, Pag-asa, Pana-ad, Parianon, and Rizalianon while in the open category, Tribu Bola-Bola, Ilonganon, Salognon, and Silak.

The ATI Tribes Committee said Tribu Baryohanon and Rizalianon in the Barangay Category are new tribes and also Tribu Ilonganon in the Open category.

Tribu Silak is the former Tribu Lunok.

Tribu Paghidaet opted not to join the 2005 competition
