Friday, October 26, 2007 Villa Arcadia, a jewel paradise in MisOr By Abigail Chee Kee-Malalis
IT WAS quite a trip going to Talisayan in Misamis Oriental, riding in a van with a long play music of the 60s, as we excitingly hit the road at past 12 noon on September 22, 2007.
My family, together with Sun.Star CDO's manager Liezl Deloso and her daughter, and some of my officemates patiently jam with the driver's mood as he drove on a 20km/hr speed.
And as we arrive on the now famous Villa Arcadia Rock and Tent City in Talisayan, I was amazed of the scenic panorama of this little paradise. Some of Sun.Star CDO's employees have visited the place a year ago, and they just can't stop saying their commendation on the scenic landscape that the owner patiently put into the once rocky hill.
A splendid idea of landscaping, giving utmost consideration to its natural beauty and terrain, give the place the feeling of oneness in God's wonderful creation. There was their butterfly garden, birds of different species abounds and the playful monkeys, make their guests more attuned to mother nature. The beach is just perfect for diving if you trade it for the pool with the jacuzzi in it.
One of the features of Villa Arcadia which make me really excited is their concrete baywalk which gave me the opportunity to stare at the beautiful sunset that Saturday afternoon.
The natural terrain of the place also gave us the chance to exercise our "inactive" muscles as we have to take the concrete stairs and climb onto their restaurant to savor the delicious seafood meals prepared by the warmth and hospitable owner, Mr. Jimmy Trece.
To date, Villa Arcadia has added new facilities that will cater to their guests' need and comfort. A fully air-conditioned dormitory type room along the beach that will cater to at least 15 or more persons, are now ready to serve their guests plus a brand new three executive suites with different color motifs to suit their guests' moods and personality.
A special thanks to Ching, Sun.Star's lay-out artist who hails from Talisayan, for preparing a very delicious and fresh fish sinugba and humba for our Saturday's dinner. Our special gratitude also to Mr. Jimmy who help us raise the amount needed for the rental of videoke machine to keep us more awake and lively as the night unfolds its darkness. Joey, Johnny and Candy sang their hearts out until the wee hours of the evening.
And as we headed back home, a feeling of a short-lived time off from the routinary life I had was somehow felt by me. And the thought of coming back to Villa Arcadia with my family is in my wish list now.
