12 Rody Project finalists bared
By Grace L. Plata

A NEW batch of aspiring Dabawenyo leaders were introduced to the public in Thursday's edition of the I-Speak forum at the Davao City Hall.

The 12 finalists of the annual Rody (Recognizing Outstanding Davao Youth) Project, which is on its 3rd year, are composed of Davao youth representing schools, tribes, and barangays.

From the city's first congressional district are Samer Musa Along of the Madrasah Office Administration Service, James Earl Chew of the Ateneo de Davao University (AdDu), Emiere Daplin of the University of Southeastern Philippines (Usep), Sheehan Joy Laguindam of AdDu, and Rizza Jean Rivera of San Pedro College (SPC).

Representing the 2nd district are Princess Joy Bacon of the University of the Immaculate Conception, Kristine Jan Donayre of AdDU, Reil Nino Morales of Lapanday Foods Corporation, Resci Angelli Rizada of SPC, and Franilyn Sendiong of AdDU.

Only 2 youngsters from the 3rd district passed the rigid screening. They are Jun Mark Amban of AdDU and Ahmad Arangale of Davao Central College.

According to Rody Project coordinator Oscar Casaysay, the final activities for the finalists are ongoing. These include leadership workshops and immersions in issues crucial to the growth of the city.

Winners will be announced in December in time for the city's Pasko Fiesta.
