Palarong Pambansa medalists given recognition

ANGELES CITY -- The City Government here, through the Angeles City Sports Office (Acso) and Local School Board, provided cash incentives and Medal of Excellence in sports to 10 Outstanding athletes who won medals during the recently held 2008 Palarong Pambansa in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan.

According to Ryan Paul Puri of the City Sports Office, 32 selected athletes from this city represented the Central Luzon Regional Athletic Association (CLRAA) ranked fifth place in both secondary and elementary division.

Vince Salas, Lawn Tennis gold and bronze medalist from Brightwoods School, topped the list. John Paul Santos (High Jump), Adiba Yusita (Lawn Tennis), Ma. Angela Sunga (Lawn Tennis), Angelica Muyrung ((Badminton), Veronica Alcantara (Lawn Tennis), Mark Alindogan (Swimming), Jordan Laus and Jay Balajadia (Volleyball), and Jessie Bulatao (Sepaktakraw) are all bronze medalists.
