TWO children and a motorcycle driver were killed while two others were injured in a road mishap on Wednesday, December 25, 2019 in Nangka, Villanueva, Misamis Oriental.
The fatalities were identified as Ryza Pagulayan, 8; Irish Sophia Bunos, 2; and Raymundo Pagulayan, 58, all residents of Tagoloan town.
Investigation disclosed that the motorcycle driven by the elder Pagulayan was traversing the national highway towards Claveria town when it overtook another vehicle at a curve portion of the road, causing it to crash into a Mitsubishi Fuso Fighter truck driven by Royme Opaon.
The two children were riding at the back of the motorcycle. Two other back riders are currently receiving treatment at a hospital.
Police said the truck also incurred damages while the driver was being held temporarily at the police station will face possible charges.
