A VETERINARIAN was shot dead by two unidentified assailants in Sitio Maanyag, Barangay Biasong, Talisay City at around 2 a.m. Monday, December 30, 2019.
The victim was identified as Neil Boligao, a resident of the said barangay.
Boligao is a private veterinarian and a meat businessman.
Patrolman Eleazar Belciña of the Talisay City Police Station said Boligao was last seen entering a slaughterhouse at around 8 p.m. Sunday, December 29.
As Boligao was leaving the slaughterhouse aboard a white pick-up truck, two men riding a motorcycle advanced towards him and started shooting.
Police recovered three bullet shells at the crime scene. The victim acquired multiple gunshot wounds on his body.
According to reports, it took several minutes for residents to look into the victim's condition inside the vehicle out of fear.
Investigators are looking at business as a possible motive of the killing. (FMD/JGS)
